For what it's worth, I LOVE your posts about this area. Actually, you've inspired me to photograph something other than my kids during my free time, lol. I am lucky to live in a very unique part of the world, so thank you for bringing me back home ;) I was born and raised in Houma, so from a local's point of view, you're doing a beautiful job.
Thanks again, Z
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! Your family is absolutely adorable, and photos like thislook like they were torn from the pages of Parenting is Everything It’s Cracked Up To Be And More magazine. Absolutely amazing.
And thank you for your kind words. I, too, feel very lucky to have the opportunity to experience such a unique place first hand. Even though I haven’t found too much to do (any suggestions?), the people that I’ve met around town and at the office have been true characters, and just down right nice. Overall, it’s been a great experience so far.
Congrats again, and I’m looking forward to seeing your photos from around town!
I woke up this morning with a combination of Bruno Mars’ The Lazy Song and Rod Stewart’s The First Cut is the Deepest stuck in my head. It’s driving me crazy, but you have to admit that it works a little too well:
I would have given you all of my heart But there’s someone who’s torn it apart And she’s taking almost all that I’ve got But if you want, I’ll try to love again Baby I’ll try to love again but I know
Today I don’t feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed Don’t feel like picking up my phone So leave a message at the tone ‘Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything Nothin’ at all…
